Planning a getaway to the vibrant islands of Cebu and Bohol?

Check out this article, where I will share my 4-day and 3-night itinerary with you. I’ve got just the thing for you.

I took the historical Twin City tour and the adrenaline-pumping canyoneering adventure. The best part? I love my stay at Azia Suites, which promises comfort and rest after a day’s adventures.

Highlights of the Cebu Tour Package

When I booked my 4-day and 3-night Cebu tour packages, I looked forward to a hassle-free and memorable vacation. Little did I know that the experience would exceed all my expectations.

This article is not for you if you want a free and easy tour. I am lazy for this tour, so I want a hassle-free holiday.

First, I started with a visit to the Twin City tour, which opened my eyes to Cebu’s rich history and vibrant culture.

Next, I visited landmarks such as the Lapulapu Monument, Magellan’s Shrine, and the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño educated me about the city’s past and provided countless photo opportunities.

But the tour wasn’t just about history. The package also included visits to sites of natural beauty and contemporary interest.

For instance, I visited Sirao Flower Farm, where the Temple of Leah offered breathtaking panoramic views. The scenery stays with you long after you’ve returned home.

And who could forget the Taoist Temple? Its serene atmosphere and intricate design made it a perfect place to reflect and take a moment.

In addition, meals like buffet lunches during the Twin City tour allowed me to indulge in authentic Cebuano cuisine without worrying about where to eat.

The canyoneering adventure option also offered adrenaline-pumping activities that contrasted nicely with the laid-back sightseeing tours.

The Cebu tour package’s careful balance between adventure, culture, and relaxation made it stand out. Each day brought a new experience, ensuring my vacation was as diverse and enjoyable.

Day 1: Arrival in Cebu

I went to Cebu from Manila. There are several options: drive, take a plane, or take a boat. I took an airplane.

Upon landing in Cebu, the adventure began. My itinerary for the day was packed. Today is all about water activities. I have visited Cebu many times and have tried all three water activities.

These three are recommended activities you can do for water activities. You can do all the activities during your visit if you have time. If not, you can choose one that fits in the itinerary.

First: Travel to Moalboal

Moalboal is renowned for its spectacular diving spots and the majestic Pescador Island.

Here, I got to go snorkeling and check out the marine life. The visibility underwater was incredible, offering a vivid view of the coral reefs and schools of sardines.

Pescador Island is a must-visit if you are an avid diver; it is a marine sanctuary paradise for snorkelers and divers alike. The island’s crystal-clear waters and diverse marine life are amazing.

It was an experience I wouldn’t want anyone to miss. I enjoyed my time here.

Second: Canyoneering

Next on the itinerary is Canyoneering at Kawasan Falls. If you are a fan of extreme sports, you should go.

This adrenaline-pumping activity involved jumping, swimming, and trekking through the canyons leading to the Kawasan Falls. The cool, turquoise waters of the falls provided a refreshing end to the canyoneering adventure.

You can complete this tour in 3-5 hours. So, good stamina is a must.

Third: Swim With Whale Shark

Something that you don’t get to do every day is swim with a whale shark.

In Cebu, particularly at Oslob, you can swim with whale sharks. This is an opportunity of a lifetime.

It was a breathtaking moment. Swimming and touching the whale shark is an amazing memory for me.

Day 2: Exploring Cebu City

For day 2, I suggest checking out Cebu City. The city is rich in cultural and historical heritage. You can pick and choose or visit every place I listed below in a day.

First: Magellan’s Cross

I have written my experience at the iconic Magellan’s Cross; you can check the article here

Many Christians believe this symbolizes Christianity’s birth in the Philippines. Nestled within a stone pavilion, the cross marks where Portuguese explorer Ferdinand Magellan planted the Christian cross upon arriving in 1521.

The solemnity of the chapel, coupled with the striking paintings on the ceiling depicting the cross’s history, provides a profound sense of the past.

Second: Basilica Minore del Santo Niño

Next, the Basilica Minore del Santo Niño stands a few steps away. Check my article here for an in-depth Basilica Minore del Santo Niño review.

The oldest religious relic in the Philippines, the Santo Niño de Cebu statue, is here. This 16th-century church’s architecture and religious significance are truly captivating. I can’t help but be mesmerized by the tales of faith and miracles tied to this holy site.

Third: Fort San Pedro

Not far from here, Fort San Pedro, the smallest and oldest triangular bastion fort in the country, offers a glimpse into Cebu’s military history.

Originally constructed for defense, it now serves as a peaceful refuge with its lush gardens and a museum displaying artifacts from the Spanish era. This site perfectly illustrates the city’s transformation from a fort town to a bustling urban metropolis.

Fourth: Taoist Temple

If you still have the energy, why not visit a Taoist Temple in Beverly Hills?

This temple stands as a testament to the significant Chinese influence in Cebu. The tranquility, panoramic city views, and intricate dragon sculptures transport me to a different world, offering a serene escape from the city’s hustle and bustle.

Day 3: Bohol Adventure

The highlights of day 3 were riding a boat, hiking in the jungle, and exploring Cebu’s beautiful landscape.

Bohol is not in Cebu, but when you are so near to Bohol, it would be a sin not to check out this place.

There are two ways to get to Bohol from Cebu: fast or slow ferry. I took the fast ferry.

First: Chocolate Hills

The journey from Cebu to Bohol was smooth. Upon arrival, the first stop was the iconic Chocolate Hills, a geological marvel that has to be seen and believed.

The hills, numbering over 1,200, are uniformly shaped and spread over 50 square kilometers.

They get their name from the grass that turns brown during the dry season, making them look like endless rows of chocolate kisses. The view from the top was breathtaking and made for an unforgettable start to the day.

Second: Tarsier Sanctuary

Following the Chocolate Hills, Tarsier Sanctuary is an hour away by car. Considered one of the world’s smallest primates, the Philippine tarsier has big, round eyes that melt your heart at first sight.

Observing these tiny creatures in their natural habitat and learning about conservation efforts was enlightening and heartwarming.

Third: Loboc River

Before the day ended, a relaxing cruise along the Loboc River was the perfect way to unwind. The lush green banks, local music, and delicious Filipino cuisine in the floating restaurants provided an immersive experience of Bohol’s captivating landscape and culture.

Day 4: Departure from Cebu

Waking up on the fourth day of my Cebu tour, I’m filled with a bittersweet feeling.

The excitement of the past few days has left me with many memories and experiences, yet the realization that today marks my departure from Cebu adds a hint of sadness. The four-day, three-night stay has been extraordinary. It offers a rare blend of adventure, culture, and relaxation.

My day begins with an early morning check-out from the hotel. With my bags packed and a camera full of photos, I ensure I’ve got all my belongings, leave nothing behind but footprints, and take pictures.

The 3-day, 2-night stay has been extraordinary. It offers a rare blend of adventure, culture, and relaxation.

Conclusion

Embarking on the 4-day and 3-night Cebu tour package was an unforgettable journey that seamlessly blended adventure, culture, and relaxation.

From Cebu’s vibrant streets to Bohol’s serene landscapes, every moment was a discovery. The tour’s ease and organization allowed me to immerse myself fully in the experience without the usual travel hassles.

Reflecting on the trip as I departed, I realized the memories created were not just fleeting moments but lasting impressions of the Philippines’ beauty and warmth.

This tour wasn’t just a trip but a treasure trove of experiences I’ll cherish forever.
